VCAW is an annual statewide initiative designed to increase the number of students applying to and enrolling in college. Through school-based events, during the week of November 16th – 20th, the Class of 2016 will be encouraged to apply to at least one college. With the support of supplemental resources provided by the state, school sites coordinate hands-on support activities, during school hours, to help eligible students apply to college.
Here is an idea of what our seniors at Henrico High School will be taking a part in during that week:
- On November 16th -18th there will be various colleges here for visits and on-site admissions.
- On November 19th and 20th seniors (through their government classes) will rotate to the library for assistance with college applications, career exploration, scholarships, etc. The entire school counseling team will be available for senior students during this time.
